Driving sustainable progress at sea and ashore

At Odfjell, sustainability is closely linked to how we operate our business. Through continuous improvements in safety, energy efficiency, and environmental performance, we work to reduce our impact while enabling the safe and reliable transportation and storage of essential products. As part of this commitment, we operate the world's most energy-efficient deep-sea chemical tanker fleet.

We transport and store essential chemicals and liquid bulk products, often through environmentally sensitive regions and close to the communities where people live and work. This role also carries a responsibility to protect people and the environment and to operate safely and with integrity.

Our customers and society trust us to handle these products to the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship and operational excellence. Safety is more than our top priority; it is the foundation of our broader ESG commitment.

We believe safe and responsible operations go hand in hand with environmental care, social responsibility and strong governance. From reducing emissions and preventing spills to fostering an inclusive workplace and engaging transparently with stakeholders, ESG considerations are embedded in our operations and everyday decision-making.

Our ambition is clear: to ensure that the products and resources entrusted to us are handled responsibly throughout the value chain, protecting people and the environment while driving innovation, supporting sustainable growth, and creating lasting value for society.

Reducing emissions, driving efficiency

Reducing emissions is one of the defining challenges of our industry – and a key priority for Odfjell. With clear targets to reduce carbon intensity and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, we are advancing a broad range of initiatives across our fleet and operations. From improving energy efficiency and monitoring emissions to investing in vessels capable of operating on low- and zero-emission fuels, we are taking measurable steps towards a more sustainable future for shipping.

People and safety first

People are at the heart of our business, whether they work at sea, ashore, or throughout our value chain. We are committed to fostering a safe, fair, and inclusive workplace through a strong safety culture, greater gender diversity, and respect for human and labor rights. These priorities shape our daily operations, support our employees and partners, and guide our long-term ambitions.

Responsible governance, sustainable growth

Strong governance is fundamental to how we operate and create long-term value. Our governance framework is designed to support responsible decision-making, protect the interests of our stakeholders, and promote sustainable growth. By integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into our strategy, risk management, and operations, we ensure that sustainability remains an integral part of how we manage and develop our business.
