Ship operators are at the center of Odfjell's day-to-day tanker operations. Acting as the link between vessels, customers, ports, and internal teams, they coordinate every stage of a voyage – from cargo loading and scheduling to port calls and performance follow-up. The role combines operational expertise, problem-solving, and global collaboration to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of cargo worldwide.
Charterers are at the core of Odfjell's commercial operations. They work closely with customers, operators, and colleagues around the world to secure cargo, develop customer relationships, and match transportation needs with the right vessels. By combining market insight, relationship-building, and commercial judgement, charterers play a key role in delivering value to customers and maximizing the performance of our fleet.
Working closely with crews on board and colleagues ashore, ship management professionals oversee areas such as safety performance, fleet management, crewing, procurement, safety, maintenance, competence development, and regulatory compliance. By combining broad maritime expertise, operational excellence, and a daily commitment to safety, they help ensure our vessels, crews, and operations meet the highest standards.
Our fleet performance and technology teams help maximize the efficiency, quality, and environmental performance of Odfjell’s fleet. They leverage data, digital solutions, analytics, and engineering expertise to improve vessel performance, reduce emissions, and support informed decision-making on how to optimize operations today and tomorrow.
